Gays — Why is it that gay men are the darlings of the media (Queer Eye for the Naked Guy, Boy meets Boy, Will and Grace, and the countless other gay men on reality shows etc) yet lesbians are still either reviled or portrayed as some guy’s wet dream?

Cable — Comcast checked out our internal wiring — it’s all OK. Next step is for them to come back and run a new wire from the cable box to the apartment. They have to call back w/our appointment for that.

Max — We had a behaviorally tough day yesterday. He’s testing limits, I’m trying to enforce them, and I miss my exiled cats. We’re going to move the gate closer to the living room to give the cats more wander room, and to limit Max to living room only. Today the little dear gets neutered though. And not one day too soon. He’ll be dropped off at 9 am and I’ll grab him at 5 pm.

Misty — I neglected to mention that Misty’s vet appt went a-ok. Vet commented that she was “well-fed.” (blush) BUT, she didn’t use the “FAT” word, so I hereby officially apologize to Misty for all of the times I called HER fat in this blog.

Mood: Sleepy. Overwhelmed at amount of stuff I need to do before I go away. Disappointed I’ve been putting weight back on and not caring about it. Concerned I may be catching the cold that’s making it’s way around at work. If I get sick on vacation, fine. I just don’t want to get everyone else sick.

Work docket: Did communities. Will do scrapbook, finally post the Commuity Guide database!! Start some Ad software maintenance work.

Lunch plans: See yesterday. Add to that a stop at the drugstore to pick up some echinacia.

Afternoon/Evening: Here’s where the fun starts. I need to update LadyGypsy.net before I go away. Need to do laundry and pack aforementioned laundry. I need to pick Max up at 5. Mom wants me to go over her Real Estate stuff with her for an hour tonight at Starbuck’s. It involves Chai, so I’m not complaining. Guild meeting at 9 pm, which I’ll prolly be late for. That’s not too hard, because it doesn’t require anything but my presence, so I can pack while that’s going on. Spend quality time with husband to assuage my guilt over vacationing without him.
