The windshield chip
I called my insurance company yesterday, and there is a $500. deductable for fixing the windshield. Um….no thanks. Called Saturn, and the Parts and Labor cost to replace the windshield entirely (they don’t do repair) is $467. Errrr…nope…don’t want to do that. Called Safelite Glass, and I’m taking the car over during lunch to see if they can fix it. If it’s in a certain place, they won’t.
You can’t fool me, Mother Nature
Yes, I have noticed that it is no longer light when I leave for/arrive at work.
My gaming world
Yesterday was Patch Day in Asheron’s call…the day of the month where content gets updated/added. Longtime AC players know that you never play on patch day…too much potential for bugginess. And my SWG server wasn’t loading properly, so Caelia didn’t go out to play. I’m having a hard time learning that game.
Wt: 138…but I didn’t really try.
Mood: Sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy.
Work: Hot Properties (waiting for ads now), MUST WORK ON COMMUNITY GUIDE! Imperative!!!
Lunch: Depends on how long the Safelite encounter lasts. I have a frozen meal to nuke when I get back.
Afternoon: YMCA at 3:00 pm. Then I’m taking a nap until the early evening so that I won’t collapse by 7:00 pm. Still too young for that.
Evening: Unknown.
Weekend: BBQ at Dad’s tomorrow. May go to the beach Sunday morning. (Weather permitting)
And…the Friday Five
1. When was the last time you cheated?
HMmmmmmmmm. If you count using 3rd-party helper applications (Robochef) within Asheron’s Call as cheating, I cheat daily. The last time I remember cheating on something important was on an eye test at Lenscrafters. There’s a test where you stick your head into a 3 side box and are supposed to look straight ahead with one eye closed and hit a button when you peripherally see a flash of light. That test gets on my nerves, so I keep both eyes open.
2. When was the last time you stole?
During Christmas cookiebaking, I left Genuardi’s without paying for a little jar of nutmeg that got stuck inside the grill of the cart. I didn’t see it stuck there, so I didn’t put it up on the conveyor belt. When I was at the car and saw it stuck there, I realized what I did. I didn’t go back to pay for it. It was less than $3.00. I’ve had similar experiences with more expensive items. (rolling out of Target with a bag of cat food underneath the cart that nobody saw), but in those cases, I always go back. The nutmeg didn’t seem that important. The next time I went to Genuardi’s, I made a $5.00 contribution to their food bank project, so my guilt was assuaged.
3. When was the last time you lied?
I think I lie on a daily basis. You know…when someone asks you how your day is and you say ‘Great!’ when it’s mediocre? Or “That’s a fantastic idea!” The last known lie was when I told someone that Mickey died naturally and wasn’t put to sleep. A lie that won’t change the ways of the world, but a lie nonetheless.
4. When was the last time you broke or vandalized another’s property?
Never vandalized. I allegedly dinged someone’s car here in the parking lot last fall with my car door. I don’t remember doing it at all, but forked over the cash to repair it to keep the peace here at work.
5. When was the last time you hurt a loved one
Last night when I mercilessly pummelled David with a baseball bat. Oops…chalk that one up as a lie for the day. 🙂 Seriously, that question is just too personal for my blog, so I’m leaving it be.
Going to make oatmeal while the ads take their sweet time in converting.
