Friday 5: This week in the news

friday january 17

Happy Friday, which is National Classy Day (I try), National Bootlegger’s Day (the opposite of classy) and the Friday before a three day weekend. I had my second Shingles vaccine today and I’m hoping it goes a bit easier than…

Wordless Wednesday 2025: Week 3

a vanilla-almond late with leaf latte art on top. My glasses and fountain pain are purposefully placed on the wooden table behind the cup because this is how we on the internet manipulate you into thinking everything is perfect

A day in the life of working from home

kim at her desk. A painted spaceship earth is on the wall. It's a pretty desk. She's wearing a white fleece pullover hoodie which makes her look hunchier than she is. This is a completely staged photo.

5:15pm – WM’s alarm goes off. He takes Murphy with him to feed and let him out. They’ll come back upstairs around 5:45 to for WM to get ready. 6:20am: WM leaves for work and shuts the door to the…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

the wombsday clock graphic with two teal haired women in white rockers. It has reached 12 months and there are teal and white stars all over the graphic.
Well, that happened.
