Happy Friday! Today is National Malcolm X Day, National Graduation Tassel Day and National Walnut Day. It’s also a Friday off which I have spent so far by 1) graduation from physical therapy (no tassel) and 2) waiting for Molly to be towed to the mechanic because she started sputtering and shutting down after I filled the gas tank. ALWAYS good news.
Friends, there are not enough rubber ducks to offset my rage at how many times I’ve had to have Jeeps towed to the mechanic over the last 3 years.
Anyhoo, this week’s Friday 5 theme is Endless quest for love and glory.
- What’s the book you’re not reading?
I checked out “Good Company” by Cynthia D’aprix Sweeney in March, renewed it twice, didn’t return it on time, and never cracked the cover. I loved her previous book “The Nest” so it’s not her at all. I’ve been in a reading slump since December and I know the only way out is not try and force it. I am reading Life in Five Senses by Gretchen Rubin, but I’m literally doing it 10 minutes at a time. Reading slumps stink. - Who’s the person you’re not seeing?
I know. They know. You don’t have to. 😉 - Where’s the place you’re not going?
Seeing the Savannah Bananas in Philadelphia September, apparently. WM and I both signed up for alumni tickets through Rowan University and they sold out in minutes. I entered the lottery in December and never received an email that it was happening and now people are talking about high resale prices so we’re out of luck. Boooo. - What’s the problem you’re not fixing?
I need to call an electrician to wire overhead lights and change the wall switch to NOT operate the wall outlets in 2 bedrooms and I cannot make myself make that phone call because of some sort of anxious block. It is on my list for Monday and I will use this blog to hold myself accountable. - What are the feelings you’re not feeling?
Relaxed. Calm. Tranquil.
I’m washing the sofa blankets and am about to fire up Welcome to Wrexham and Bridgerton. Enjoy your weekend!
