Rabbit rabbit! Happy February. It’s about time to start planning my garden!
Last week was my 12th anniversary at TNP. Soon I’ll be there longer than I was at the CP, and that blows my mind because in 2012, I was hell bent on never staying at an employer longer than 3-5 years again. I wanted to be a job hopper. It turns out I prefer to be a loyal employee. I still enjoy what I do despite all of the ways that it (and the Associations sphere) has changed in 12 years. And the last almost-four years. I enjoy working for members and mission instead of Gannett stockholders. (GCI is currently trading at $2.59/share.) I do miss traveling more for my job. I used to be deployed to spring and fall meetings and some overnight professional development events, but no more.
I am not a fan of wood wick candles. They’re too crackly for me and instead of setting a mood, I’m constantly aware that a spark could fly from the top of the cozily-crackling wood wick and burn my house down.
I took Murphy to the groomer on Tuesday (as far as I know the dog virus is still not in NJ) and he is not a brave boy. I have to shoof him like a curling stone into the grooming area. He’s been going there for almost his entire life and they love him but he is still terrified to go. And he’ll be clingy for the next two days. I feel guilty for taking him, but they do a much better job trimming him than I ever could. See?
I tried an everything bagel for the first time and they’re okay I guess? I usually prefer sweeter bagels to savory ones, but I was waiting for my entire world to go technicolor and it was just a seasoned bagel that left extra mess in the toaster oven.
I have been practicing yoga almost every morning since September 6th and it feels good. I’m not a yogi by any means and I’m still having aches and pains but I can feel myself getting stronger and my posture improving.
Some people are losing their mind that Taylor Swift is shown on television when she goes to watch her boyfriend (Jason Kelce’s little brother) play football. I guarantee if she never went to see him play, she’d be trashed for being an unsupportive girlfriend. And if she went but watched from a private box/office with no cameras allowed, she’d be painted as being too stuck up for football. I think T&T make a very cute couple.

I agree. Taylor and Travis have been something cute to look forward to in an otherwise dismal January.
