Stupid beading tricks: Bridal set

A month or so back, one of my coworkers asked if I could make her a bracelet and a set of earrings for her upcoming beach wedding in Mexico. I said sure, no big.

Okay. I said, “OMG SERIOUSLY ARE YOU CRAZY? ME? OKAY!!??!?!”

She wanted something dainty and beachy. OKAY!! I created five sample earrings and two small lengths of bracelets for her, and let her choose what she wanted. This is the finished product:

Two bracelets and a pair of earrings.
Two bracelets and a pair of earrings.

The pearls are crystal pearls, because real pearls are wickedly expensive and I am not a good knotter. There are also Swarovski pave beads and crystals, sterling silver starfish charms from Artbeads.com, and faceted crystal drop beads. The clasp and earring hooks are sterling silver as well. I had some beads left over, so I made the bracelet at the bottom right for her daughter, who was her flower girl. Those are crystal pearls and a starfish charm on stretch elastic. 🙂

Thanks, M, for letting me do this for you. Wishing you YEARS of happiness!!

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
