Stupid beading tricks: Dangly earrings

I’m doing really well at hitting my bead table (not with my head) every weekend and working with the stash I have. Coworker D is headed to Florida for vacation, so I whipped up these beachy earrings that match one of her dresses.

The sea glass rounds were from a BeadFest vendor, the turquoise colored beads are from Martha Stewart’s collection for Michaels. Sterling silver earwires and Parawire.

And these I kept for myself. I was afraid they’d be heavy, but either they are light or my ears don’t care anymore. I received compliments all day on them, which made me happy.

Large flat glass beads from a shop in Chinatown, and the black and gray beads are ones I had lying around. Sterling silver earwires and Parawire.

Now I’m fretting, as another coworker asked me to make her a bracelet and earrings for her beach wedding next month. I’ve never made anything so important before. It’ll be fun, but I hope the bracelet doesn’t explode off of her wrist just as she’s taking her vows, and the flower girl eats the beads that fall on the ground because she thinks they are candy and everyone ends up hospitalized and/or angry. Thankfully, I’m not invited. 😉

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
