Here's mud in your eye

This post is for the benefit of someone who does something clumsy like me and Googles to see if they’ll be going blind.

On Monday night as I was doing my face cleansing routine (wash, 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, moisturize – found at acne.org) I got a schmear of Cetaphil moisturizer (with a few drops of jojoba oil mixed in) in my eye. It hurt! I rinsed my eye out but it still stung. It took ’til Friday night for the irritation to subside. Now I’m fine.

So here you go, Google. Moisturizer in your eye? You’ll be okay in a few days.

  • I once got photographic fixer in my eye but this was in the days before I even had a computer so I just hoped for the nest.

It didn’t burn and my vision was a bit blurry afterward but like you, I turned out fine.

  • Oh man soap in the eye is the worst, I can’t imagine anything else that wouldn’t make my eye feel like it was sucking the life out of it.
