Sleepless in South Jersey

So I updated the links in the sidebar and brought back the hostess page. Well, if you can’t be full of yourself on your own blog, where else can you be full of yourself?

This has been one of the most fun workweeks I’ve had in a long time. I was kicking around with coding, playing with our ad serving system, AND I got to do a voiceover for one of our advertisers! It’s been a loooong time since I did voice work, but I’m proud anyway.

This video ad will be rotating through the C-P’s site.
Anyway now that my disclaimers are out of the way, tomorrow’s Friday, which means I get to go out after work. We’re getting a nice crowd at Catch It Grog and Grill. I wish I could balance the bar food I love with the Weight Watchers program better, but that’s my burden to bear.

Going to go back to bed. Again. Maybe the third time’s the charm.

Edited at 6:43am to clarifiy that yes, by all means listen, but don’t feel compelled to click ON the ad itself. ‘Kay?

Edited at 11:15pm to take down the link…it’s a spec ad and I thought it was approved and just about ready to go. I can repost once it’s approved. 🙂

The magazine I used to write for had lots of sunroom advertisers. Believe me, I know everything there is to know about them.

Cool voiceover. My brother is always sending me MP3s of the ones he does for his job (a local CBS affiliate). He always has a blast doing them! He also interviewed me last year in the midst of our gas price thingy since I take the train to work.

We’re all attention whores at some point in our lives 🙂

Wow. Between John and modeling and you and voiceovers, the Dowd clan is about to get mightyyyyy famous!

Piper was quite intrigued by the “voice” coming out of my computer. Her ears perked up and he was sniffing and everything. Quite cute.

Er. Apparently my image tag didn’t work. I’ll just email you the photo!

It’s so cute I made the photo link work! Not sure why it didn’t to begin with, but I’ll look at it. That dog’s adorable!

That was great. You have an awesome voice (guys definitely would dig it – smile). But seriously, have you considered doing voice work for radio? You really sound like you can pull that off!

As a non-attention whore, I clicked the ad before you took it down …..

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
