Thunderous Thursday!!!

(remember, exciting fake stuff is in pink and the truth is in black.)

I wore my pedometer all day today. It’s recommended that an adult take 10,000 steps per day — which roughly translates to 5 miles. Today’s grand total?

4864.

Less than half of the quota. That includes a .7 mile dog walk. But it doesn’t include my hour of rock climbing.

I may seem lazy and uninspired and promiscuous at times, but I’m pretty goal-oriented. And that 10,000 number…sheesh. I’m going to have to change some behaviors, I guess. Walks during lunch, maybe?

Thor’s favorite group, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, is performing at the Borgata tomorrow night, so we decided to spend this weekend in Atlantic City. Note: This text is in black…what fun! I’ll be sure to hit roulette tables, some strip clubs and maybe dabble in some craps.

We have a new radio station in town, Ben FM. It’s hook is that it plays anything it wants. Good ol’ Ben only tends to play the top 40 songs from each year going back 30 years though. The best aspects of it are that: 1) there are no annoying DJs yet. Eventually the usual DJs who get fired from every Philadelphia station will show up and ruin it. 2) You get a lot of very interesting song pairings. Today I heard George Michael’s “I want your sex” followed up by the Eagles’ “Hotel California.” A few weeks ago it was “Ramblin’ Man” followed up by “I Wanna Dance with Somebody.” Weird stuff.

Hm. Just realized that my archive dropdown doesn’t work. And I don’t have a hostess shot up. Will fix that.

A few years ago when 96.5 in Philadelphia went to the “All 80s” format, it was the same thing. They basically had no DJs for several months. Eventually they hired some and the whole thing went down the drain. I agree – they will rehash the same loser DJs that have been in Philly.

Pity about the strip clubs being in pink. 😉

Long time no see! Hope all is well with you in the Mister and that you had [are having?] a great time!

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
