Last night’s dinner: I had some frozen Beef something with a mashed potato-esque side dish. 230 calories.
It’s hard for me to express my feelings about work in a way that 1) won’t leave me looking whiny or neurotic and 2) won’t get me dooced. Simply put, changes are afoot that are going to require me to take an active role in sales and sales training.
Sir? You who’s still fixated on the “svelte clothing” entry from yesterday…is your hand up?
But Kim…you don’t sell!
I know. It’s a change. And change tends to make me……? Yes, you, with the college sweatshirt on.
Nervous?
Very good! What else? Chick with the cute haircut?
Anxious?
Yes…thats a good one too. Conscience…your hand is up…do you have anything to add?
Whiny about a very good job that you were very lucky to get.
(sigh) Right. But I’m taking a half-point off for your obvious attitude problem.
That said, I think I’m taking a personal day on Friday. Sleep in, maybe get my nails done, dawdle through a bookstore…because nothing screams dedication to a new project than a personal day.
This was day 2 of the big ol’ workout plan. Mostly Bowflex again…this time concentrating on the abs and below. This workout was also about 30 minutes…I did 2 sets of 20 stomach crunches on the floor, 2 sets of 15 leg lifts on the floor (ow!), 2 sets of 15 trunk rotations (15 lb resistance), 2 sets of 15 hip adductions on each side (20 lb resistance) and 2 sets of 20 leg lifts (20 lb resistance). Coupled with my arms and chest that are sore from yesterday, and I’m one sorry girl.
Breakfast: Light strawberry/banana yogurt (90 cal), water
Lunch: Monthly Online lunch at “A Little Tuna” in Haddonfield. I had a crab cake sandwich and a handful of fries. I have NO idea of the caloric intake — but it was quite good. I must take Thor back there sometime. Water to drink.
Drive-home snack: 1 pkg Ritz Bits (170 cal), water
Dinner: 6 oz cooked shrimp (150 cal) , Diet Vanilla Coke (yum! – 0 cal)
A comment from the lady with the gorgeous pearl earrings?
I just wanted to add that you’re doing great…you had 790 calories left, and I don’t think the sandwich could have been that much. I’m so very proud of you, and you have got to be the most intelligent, gorgeous daughter EVER!
Mom? Is that you? 😉
Well, it’s you pretending to be me. But that’s obvious. I hope your readers know that I can help them buy or sell a home in South Jersey!
Well now they know. I’m still hungry. But I’ll stick with water for the rest of the night.
Because if one wants to wear some of these come summer, one must be svelte.

Once upon a time, I was a techno-geek (some may still call me a geek). About 5 years ago, I was ready to quit the IT industry when someone persuaded me to go into Sales. Now I love it. Seriously, if you got any sales questions or just want advice – feel free to email me or post a comment up on lascene.blogspot.com
