I have a love/hate relationship with Valentine’s Day. I know it’s a celebration of love, in all of its sickness and glory. But more often than not, it falls during the workweek and is therefore pretty uneventful for working folk. I don’t ask for flowers, I don’t ask for candy, I don’t ask for jewelry. All I ask for is a card big enough to warrant the “extra postage needed” warning on the envelope. (Aw, c’mon…it’s not like he’s MAILING it to me.)
Breakfast: 1/2 bottle of skim milk (70 cal); 1 bowl of fruit (apples, grapes, strawberries, pineapple…estimating 100 cal)
Lunch: 1/2 (about 4 inches long) buffalo chicken wrap, 1/2 (about 4 inches long) turkey wrap. (estimating 500 cal); salad (0 cal) with 3 mozzarella balls (240 cal); more fruit (100 cal); Diet Coke w/Lime (ick…0 cal)
Snack?: 40 oz water, 3 Altoids (10 cal)
Valentine’s Dinner with Max: To be determined. I have approximately 250 calories to work with.
Exercise: Rainsoaked walk with Max. 30 minute Bowflex workout. (6 upper body exercises, 2 sets of 15 reps each, all with 20 lbs. (?) resistance.
Just so you know, I think it’s no longer possible for me to raise my arms above waist-level. Which should help me with snacking, unless I start eating my food right from the dish, pie-eating-contest style. But I’ll stick with this Bowflex routine for a while.
Because if one wants to wear one of these come summer, one must be svelte. (link possibly not safe for work…it’s Valentine’s Day, after all)

And I thought I was a lingerie expert. I’d never heard the term “Merry Widow” before – lol.
