Last full day at sea

I hit another yoga class this morning. This is NOT YMCA yoga. the instructor had us go through 3 different vinyasas (sequences of poses) and had us hold each pose for 30 seconds. Between today and Monday, I did 12 downward facing dog poses. My Y teacher makes us do 2 a week. Basically, I feel as if I’ve done more yoga this week than I have in the last 3 months at the Y. Makes me want to look into going to an actual yoga studio.

We’re recovering from a noontime champagne brunch. I managed to eat more than Thor on this outing, but that’s only because I really skimped on my breakfast this morning. He’s resting the food off — as opposed to working it off — and I’m killing time here in the internet cafe for 10 minutes. Steve Blanchard is appearing in one of the bars then.

That means nothing to you, but Steve Blanchard played “Beast” in the original Broadway production of Beauty and the Beast. Disney wants me to buy a BatB Original Broadway cast CD for him to sign, but because I have one at home, I’ll refrain. I’ll just peer in and see how hairy he is. 😉

The last bingo session starts seating at 3:30. The jackpot is up to $4,000 and will be won today. Like a total gambling dork, I prepurchased cards so I wouldn’t have to stand in line.

Last night was 80’s night. Thor and I went dancing (us! dancing!) in one of the adult-only clubs. Tonight is semiformal night. I have a cute little tiered dress to wear and some strappy black shoes to dance in.

The islands were mostly cloudy with a skosh of rain, and last night the seas were choppy as we sailed out. Luckily, we’re still not seasick. Today the weather’s sunny and hot. After I lose at bingo, it’s off to the pool with me!

Tomorrow we spend the day at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island.

Disney one-word animated movies: Cinderella, Hercules, Tarzan, Mulan, Pinocchio, Bambi, Fantasia, Pocahontas, Dinosaur!, Aladdin, Dumbo. I’m still trying to get our waiter to tell me #12. I thought “Aristocats” but I think that’s really “The Aristocats.”

Riddle: What’s a pirate’s favorite fast-food place?

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
