February 20, 2003 – morning

(smile) Hey you…didja miss me?

Yesterday was a hella long day. Work 5:30 – 2:00. Work the Taste of Home Cooking show from 3:30 (well, actually 3:37 — I got lost on the freaking 1 mile trip, ended up in scary Camden) until 9:30. I didn’t go home in between time, so when I got home at 10:00, I was mumbling incoherently, washed my face and threw myself in bed.

I don’t know what I did on Tuesday, other than end up at Starbucks with Mom, John, and a Toffee Nut Latte.

Let’s get the prelims out of the way:

Wt: 312 lbs, give or take a few. Since I fell off of the healthy-living wagon HUGE this weekend (Cool Ranch Doritos. Chocolate. GS Cookies.) I decided not to weigh in this week.

Mood: Exhausted, and a bit blue. See..when you’re 30, you should NOT be getting more zits than you had when you were half that age. I feel like Queen Splotch. I feel deformed. I feel ugly. And these are crimes for which the world shows little pity. (warning…link has a midi file) Thanks to the miracle of makeup, my coworkers are not fleeing the building in fear.

Work docket: Did communities. Will do scrapbook when I’m done with this bit of me-time. Change some banners, work with the Gannett co-brand tool.
Lunch plans: Healthy Choice Roasted Turkey Breast with mashed potato-like whiteness.

Afternoon/Evening: (sigh) My apartment is a wreck. When your head’s constantly in the fridge, you don’t have time to clean. So I guess I’ll clean.

Oh yeah, and I’ll never take the sight of asphalt roads forgranted again. Our roads are clear again, and the snow is tidily packed into 5 foot high dunes across SJ.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

the wombsday clock graphic with two teal haired women in white rockers. It has reached 12 months and there are teal and white stars all over the graphic.
Well, that happened.
