Wordless Wednesday: Week 34

a "behind the scenes" shot of mugs being photographed. There is a yellow background propped up against my monitor stand and my mug that says "home" is in front of it. There are other mugs visible in the back as well as a light.

Abundance, by the book (of stamps)

an assortment of US postage stamps. There are Christmas, baby animal, and wildflower stamps for regular postage, international stamps, and a roll of postcard stamps

As a 1980s teenager I was part of a penpal ring. We’d send letters, stickers, and slam books. I had loads of stationery, construction paper, and return address labels purchased from the Current Catalog which amazingly still exists today! But…

it's a color-it-yourself puzzle made with nesting concentric circles that I colored in with various shades of blue alcohol ink markers.

What I read in the Spring/Summer of 2025

a screenshot of my phone's "shut up and read' 20minute timer.

I’ve finally managed to wrangle myself back into a reading habit. How? By setting a cheeky-20 minute timer every day and making myself read. I can do anything for 20 minutes, and if the alarm goes off and I feel…

Friday 5: In vino veritas

Happy Friday! Today is National Mochi Day (I really need to try this), Global Sleep Under the Stars Night (I’ve never been camping), and most importantly, a Summer Friday. It would be my second-to-last Summer Friday; however, I took next…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

the wombsday clock graphic with two teal haired women in white rockers. It has reached 12 months and there are teal and white stars all over the graphic.
Well, that happened.
