Reading: Wuthering Heights. I’ve never read it before and although I’m only four chapters in, it’s definitely wild and weird and wuthering.

Drinking: Diet Dr. Pepper, as always.
Watching: Bridgerton, still creeping through one episode per week. Even if you take my boo Benedict out of the equation, this season is my favorite!
Planning: What to pack for TNP’s Annual Conference in Nashville. I fly out this weekend.
Avoiding: Thinking too far ahead. Murphy is unwell. He’s been having digestion issues since March 4 and since I wrote about it back here, things are not better. Thanks to a cancellation, his chest X-rays happened on Saturday. As of 6:27am this morning (when I am writing this because WM is already on his way to work and neither Murphy nor I can sleep), we are waiting for those results.
The office opens at 8 and I’ll call asking if there’s another way to be treating the digestive issues while we figure everything else out.
He is nine, but he has hit many medical bumps in that short time. I have bad, bad feelings about this. I hope I’m wrong. I’m not sure how he’ll be able to get through a splenectomy if keeping food down is a problem.
And as you can guess, I feel guilty as hell for going to the conference while all of this is going on. It’s the ONE time a year I travel for work.
We’re all tired and sad.

Sending good thoughts for Murphy 🙏🏻
