Happy Monday! The content from 10/31 onward was pre-written and scheduled because last week WM and I were sailing on the Disney Treasure! The Treasure is one of the newest ships in the fleet and we had been planning this vacation since the beginning of the year.

More on the trip later, but because of the Republican government shutdown’s effect on the air travel industry, our flight home on Saturday was cancelled. Since the only available flights were getting us home today (with no guarantees those flights would go out at all), we decided to rent a car and drive home.
Which involved waiting two hours to get our bags back from American, snatching one of the few remaining rental cars in the terminal, and driving 979 miles. We stayed in St. Augustine Friday night, drove the rest of the way yesterday, and returned the rental car to/retrieved our car from the airport this morning.
Despite the very bumpy ending it was a lovely, lovely cruise.
I’m nursing a cold and we’re tackling the loads of laundry today. I’ll get back to posting on Wednesday. 🙂
