An unexpected discovery

I was brainlessly scrolling through TikTok one evening when I was stopped dead in my tracks by a color photo of Richard Nixon and his dog Checkers. I recall from history class years ago that Nixon was accused of taking improper gifts, and said the only gift he accepted was his little black and white dog Checkers. But I don’t recall seeing a photo of Checkers.
