Happy Friday! Today is National Techies Day (I love techy people!) and National Boyfriend Day (no thanks, I’m already busy with a husband and a dog. I’m at my lifetime man quota.). It’s also the last day of a work week where I truly put my snoot to the grindstone and powered through a bursting-at-the-seams task list.

I have nothing left to say so let’s barrel right into the Friday 5! This week’s theme is It’s their birthday.
- (Eddie Cochran, 1938) What caused your summertime blues this year?
I only saw the ocean once, in June. I didn’t feel like making the drive. And it’s not even a long drive, but I had a lot going on this spring/summer and I wanted my downtime to be my downtime. I didn’t want to have to drive 90 minutes each way for downtime. - (Chubby Checker, 1941) Recently, what caused you to twist yourself?
I am loving my Tuesday night yoga class. I’m so much better at it than I ever thought I’d be. - (Lindsey Buckingham, 1949) This weekend, how will you go your own way?
Hopefully my 0-4 fantasy team will become a 1-4 fantasy team. I am aiming for mediocrity. - (Gwen Stefani, 1969) What part of your personal or professional life these days is B-A-N-A-N-A-S?
Nothing, thank goodness. I’m trying to institute an evening routine to fill up the increasing darkness and stave off the fall/winter gloom. I won’t go so far as to make a curriculum for myself but having a little schedule of things to do will help greatly. - (Ashlee Simpson, 1984) Which pieces of you are you feeling pretty good about?
I am the strongest and the most flexible version of me than I’ve been in years. Years! All of the exercise propaganda is true, and I hate that it works.
And that’s all for me. This weekend I’m apple picking, making October cards, and decorating the outdoors for Halloween. I still hate autumn.
Monday’s post will be how Saturday night sleep is the best sleep. Have a great weekend!
