I have a plethora of coffee mugs.
Mugs make a fantastic and functional souvenir. But even the mugs that aren’t from a specific location remind me of where I was emotionally when I purchased them. Sadly, I don’t have enough space to keep every mug, so whenever I purchase a new one, I either repurpose an older mug (examples: plant pot, craft supply holder, etc) or brokenheartedly donate it to Goodwill, where I hope it’ll find another loving owner.
And really — what better content is there for an old fashioned blog than a series of posts about a mug collection? I’ll wait.
In the meantime, here is mug number one: The Disneyland Hotel mug.

I purchased this mug from the Disneyland Hotel in March of this year. (I also bought one for Mom, another victim of my mug fanaticism.) I love the retro Mickey and Minnie heads. I love the handle which is not only shaped like the “D” in the Disneyland logo, but is also large enough for an all-finger grip. In this house we are fans of both form and function! And the “Welcome to Happy” tagline is perfect.
This mug is in heavy rotation, usually earlier in the work week.
Until the next mug…
