Happy Friday! Today is my FIRST summer Friday of the season, and the weather is rainy and sub-60 degrees. Huzzah. I spent my day off going to some morning doctor appointments with WM and a few hours this afternoon at Mom’s house. Today also marks 18 years since WM moved out here to New Jersey to live with me. It is still going remarkably well and we are both very happy. That’s certainly much more important than National Lucky Penny Day.
Question for you: I have the most recent Xbox. What game should I play?
Questions for me: The Friday 5! This week’s theme is Zihuatanejo, which makes me think this is going to be Shawshank Redemption. WM’s playing along too.
- What could use a good shining? (Ah! It’s Stephen King themed!)
Me: My rings. I never realize how grubby they get until I clean them and they sparkle like crown jewels. I have a little ultrasonic cleaner that I fill with water and a blorp of Dawn dish soap.
WM: My glasses. They’re smudged. - When have you recently had to stand in a slow-moving line?
Me: When we visited the Liberty Bell in March.
WM: Chick-fil-A. - What was your favorite childhood counting-out game to determine who was it?
Me: I was an Eeenie Meenie Miney Mo kid.
WM: Samesies! - Is anything feeling thinner these days?
Me: Me!
WM: Me too!
Me: I’m hungry.
WM: Me too. - What do you know about Maine?
Me: It’s a gorgeous place to vacation, and the seafood is top notch. The older I get, the more interested I am in seeing other parts of the country. So maybe I’ll be in Maine someday. I’m also warming to the idea of an Alaskan cruise, which once upon a time was the hardest of nos.
WM: Did you know… that Maine used to be part of Massachusetts?
I hope you have an amazing weekend and nobody dumps pig’s blood on your head at prom.
