My February cards were a riff off of my Valentine cards, but I’m not as pleased with them. The card fronts are comprised of a die cut rose stamped with purple ink adhered to embossed white card stock with a little bit of foam tape to give it extra dimension. That whole piece is put on a purple backer. I was going with an amethyst purple theme for February.
The Happy Birthday sentiment was heat embossed onto matching purple cardstock.
For March, I went too overboard with the St. Patrick’s theme. The llamas are diecut and hand colored with alcohol markers. I use Ohuhu, not Copic because 1) cost and 2) I am a novice colorer. The background colors are indeed green and gold glitter cardstock. I mixed up the color scheme on each llama. I purchased the llama stamp/card kit a few years ago and never used them.
I’m still on a mission to use the craft supplies I have instead of purchasing more. Exceptions are consumables like glue and tape.
March is one of the months I receive cards from the swap (spring and my half-birthday) and I received two lovely cards in the mail. I love good mail.
I didn’t sign up for April because I’m traveling to TNP’s Annual Conference later this week. But I’ll be back in May. Maybe I’ll riff on birthstone colors for the rest of the year’s cards.
