Happiness is

Happiness is…

the first day of spring…Saturday morning…still in my jammies…beloved soul next to me on his PC…I on my PC, reading blogs…a week of work wherein I start to feel confident about myself…the comforting thought that my diet WILL start on Monday, because I have that same feeling I had years ago when I succeeded at it…knowledge that THIS season, I will be moving into a house…which will instantly become a home…

The WeatherPixie’s been down more than it’s been up since I put her on my home page, so I’m removing her. I hate seeing the broken image on my site. I have enough of my own to deal with.

And a day late, but it’s SPRING so I don’t care…the Friday five! (2004 Bloggie winner)

If you…

1. …owned a restaurant, what kind of food would you serve?
I had an idea a while back of opening up a place JUST for soft drinks. Sodas, juices, slushies, coffees. A sodashop, if you will. I’d call it the “ColaCabana” and plant it on a corner of a well-trafficked area. With a drive-through window. Because I know sometimes I’d stop on the road at a McD’s or a BK drivethrough for just a drink. Soda is cheap, so profits would be huge.

2. …owned a small store, what kind of merchandise would you sell?
A Hallmark store, most definately. It’d be the first not owned by a silver-haired lady, I bet.

3. …wrote a book, what genre would it be?
Humor/fiction. I have some GREAT book ideas, but they’d all have an autobiographical foundation. And there is some dirty laundry that I’m not willing to air, even in a “loosely based upon a true story” fashion.

4. …ran a school, what would you teach?
Computer literacy and basic website creation. It’s not as hard as it looks.

5. …recorded an album, what kind of music would be on it?
LOL…well, I can’t sing (publicly anyway; however, I’m a diva in my car) , so it’d have to be spoken word or instrumental.

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
