Where have you been?
I’ve been installing the Windows XP upgrade on my computer. In hindsight, I should have uninstalled lotsa programs first, formatted, reinstalled Me, then did the upgrade. But no. I am impatient. So I’ve spent the last few days tying up a lot of loose ends.
By the way, if you’ve ever emailed me before Christmas (and want to remain in contact w/me) , can you do it again? I forgot to back up my Outlook files. That, along with my Palm being (sniffle) deceased, means that I’ve lost most of the email addresses that I haven’t memorized. Like that abstract-spelled-weirdly @ hotmail dot com one.
I still don’t have an FTP program installed yet. So today, I had to fix the CPO site through a DOS window. DOS!!! My former boss would be so proud. (He had phat DOS skills).
But, my internet connection is zippy again. Horizons looks better than ever, and I managed to play it for 2 hours last night. And my desktop is pristine. My PC desktop, that is. My real-world desktop has every install disk I own strewn across it.
My husband (He Who Adores Privacy) Googled his name a few days ago and was horrified that he’s mentioned through my site and blog. So from this day out, He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named will be known as “Thor” and he will be visually represented by male models from Ralph Lauren, J Crew, and others. Got it? Good. This was his decision.
Today we lunch at the Blackwells. More later…
