My dog Mickey had a seizure yesterday

Wt: 138.8. Good. I’d be worried if I kept losing like I had the last few days. Only a pound or so up from where I was when vacation started.
Mood: Sad. My dog Mickey had a seizure yesterday. David’s taking him to the vet this morning. He reassured me, telling me that if even if it it epilepsy, it’s treatable. But the more we think back on the dog, and his behavior, the more we think this wasn’t the first seizure. I wish my dog could tell me what’s wrong with him. Besides that, though, the dog is happy and not in pain. And don’t even come back to me with “It’s just a dog.” Just don’t.
Work docket: I’m working slowly today — can’t get my mind off of the dog. Hot properties…job fair ad…hopefully a recipes update.
Lunch plans: Brought Smart Ones Basil Chicken.
Afternoon plans: YMCA, I guess.
Evening plans: I missed last night’s guild meeting…but there’s a festival committee one tonight at 9pm. I wrote the first two pages of my trip report last night. I’ll post them to the site tonight. If I’m not depressed.
Saturday: I’m toying with going to Body Pump tomorrow morn. ANd powercleaning all day.
Sunday: Church and a PPV. (Damn…the WWE is churning these things out superfast!)

Friday Five:
1. What drinking water do you prefer — tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?
At home I drink tap water because I don’t taste anything wrong with it. I’ll fill up plastic bottles of tap water and refrigerate them to get them nice and cold. Here at work I won’t TOUCH the waterfountain/tap water. We have water coolers with purifiers built in that I use to fill up bottles.

2. What are your favourite flavor of chips?
Cape Cod Original Kettle Fried. After that, it’s Ruffles Sour Cream and Cheddar.

3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
Lasagna, followed by Martha Stewart’s Mac and Cheese.

4. How do you have your eggs?
Well scrambled, not runny. I also used to make a mean homemade omlet with Velveeta cheese and chunks of ham. That’s when I was heavier. 🙂

5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?
Er…I can’t remember. We’ve been eating convenience foods lately, with vacation and all. Oh wait! Mom cooked Mother’s Day dinner…meatballs. They were great! 🙂

Next Post Vet says that Mickey’s seizure(s) may be due to hypoglycemia

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
