Happy Friday, which is also Find Your Inner Nerd Day, National Sponge Cake Day, and a day off for me!
Wednesday was the 11th of 12 PT sessions for my shoulder and my measured range of motion is worse than it was when I started. Hooray? Go me? Let’s go? I’m back at the shoulder doc Tuesday morning to see if I’m developing a frozen shoulder or maybe some sort of exotic arm wasting disease.
Enough about that! It’s Friday 5 day! This week’s theme is Peppy sweet liquid, which for me is my cherished Diet Dr. Pepper. Let’s go!
- What’s a perfectly satisfying libation?
A mini can of Diet Dr. Pepper poured over a glass of ice at 2pm on a workday. - For taking to work or school, what’s in your favorite personal sack lunch?
It’s basic, but a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It’s portable, requires no refrigeration, and as long as you have a little plastic sandwich container, not squishable. And tasty, as long as you never deviate from grape jelly. - Do you know a pretty silly limerick?
A tutor who tooted the flute
tried to tutor two tooters to toot
Said the two to the tutor
Is it harder to toot or
to tutor two tooters to toot? - What’s a pleasingly scented lotion?
Ah! The theme is PSL – short for pumpkin spice latte, which returned to Starbucks stores yesterday as part of the earlier and earlier intrusion of fall, the shittiest season.
My favorite pleasingly scented lotion is the sea salt scented lotion available at the Disney resorts. The line is called H20. - What are some peppy song lyrics?
This is from “Tipsy” by Shaboozey.
Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey
They know me and Jack Daniels got a history
There’s a party downtown near Fifth Street
Everybody at the bar gettin’ tipsy
Annnnd that’s all for today. It’s 80 degrees and sunny at home. But it’s 57 and rainy where I’m writing this from. 😉

Also a Diet Pepper person! 🙂
P.S. For some reason, your link in the Five comments section sent me to your May 30, 2003, blog entry.

I agree with your assessment of fall. I say every year that there are only three things to like about the season: the World Series, the return of the NFL, and pumpkin spice lattes. And October is my least-favorite month. Ugh.

I like one of those three. 🙂
