I’m at a good breaking point, so I’ll put in an early blog

I’m at a good breaking point, so I’ll put in an early blog.

Gaerlan didn’t happen last night, but a group of us went out hunting and lo and behold, Dierdre hits level 76.

The Static gang today discusses their reaction to the attempted Oaklyn massacre last week by the troubled teens. They pooh-pooh the teasing issue, but two letters to the editor today acknowledge that teasing is a bigger issue than people want to admit. Why don’t the parents see their kids teasing others as a problem? Maybe because they’re busy teasing other adults. Think about the snipes overheard in your office or the restroom. One day winter I was in the cafeteria at the vending machine, when I overheard a woman wondering (loudly) to her coworker WHY someone would wear their sweater tucked in. Wouldn’t you know it…that day I was wearing a fitted, ribbed sweater tucked into my skirt. It didn’t look bad at all, and I don’t think it was coincidence that the wondering started as I walked by. Will her child tease others too? Will Mom turn a blind eye? Kids will be kids, right?

Wt: 138.8. See! I knew eventually it would hit the fan-ny.
Mood: Fantastic — happy that I have
Work docket: Static’s now automated. Hand section done. Will do Parenting today, and brush up on some stuff for my corporate debut tomorrow.
Lunch: Subway
Afternoon: Food shopping (didn’t go last night)
Evening: Dinner w/my brother, and Tai Chi at 6:30. I’ll probably nap from 8:00 to 9:30 so that I can attend another guild hunt tonight. Unfortunately, my guild is mostly on the west coast. 🙂

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)

Well, that happened.
