Miserable

MiserableHere I sit in my sad little home. David has thrown himself into bed, I think for the night. Misty is in the hall. Charlie’s MIA — probably under a tablecloth somewhere. It’s too quiet. At about 6:00, I received…

I made it into work today. With the three-day weekend coming up, I think I can tough out one day here. Looking back at my last two blog entries, it’s apparent that much happened between “I do think we’ll be…

State of the Pooch, continued

State of the Pooch, continued: The University of Pennsylvania Veterinary Hospital is THE place to go when your furbaby is sick. We got there relatively quickly. Mickey rested quietly in his blanket in my arms, and licked my hand on…

State of the Pooch

State of the Pooch: Jeebus, what a night. We triumphantly took Mickey home at 6:30 last night. His sugar level shot up to the 600s again before they discharged him, but they gave him 5units of insulin to take care…

State of the Pooch: Tests came back negative for Addison’s Disease! Yay!! Dog is doing well, and barring any nastiness this afternoon, we can pick him up after 5pm tonight. 🙂

Hopefully the pooch will come home today.

Mickey and I back in December. Poor pooch had two teeth pulled that afternoon. Hopefully the pooch will come home today. We went to visit him last night, and while Mickey was excited to see us, it’s evident he’s tired…

So the Vet got mad at David…

So the Vet got mad at David because we gave Mickey 3 units of insulin this morning when we were expressly told not to. If he was hypoglycemic, the insulin would have killed him. Of course, we KNEW he wasn’t…

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
