Friday 5: Who needs a theme?

May 1, 2026 by Kimberly Leave a Comment

friday may 1

Rabbit rabbit! Happy May! Or as I like to think of it: Pre-June. Today is National Chocolate Parfait Day (yes please!) and National Mother Goose Day (mkay). I was also off work today, using up some of my comp days from the conference. Here is my list for today: Despite using their notepad, I didn’t […]

Friday 5: What fools these mortals be!

April 24, 2026 by Kimberly Leave a Comment

friday, april 24

Happy Friday! Today is New Kids on the Block Day. This has been carved into my brain since April 24, 1989, when Massachusetts Governor Michael Dukakis (still alive!) declared it to be so. I can’t remember what I walked into a room for five minutes ago, but I remember New Kids on the Block Day. […]

Post-viral exanthem? I don’t even know’em!

a bottle of Elmer's School Glue

On Sunday night, a few hours before bed, my ears started to itch. Both ears were very red and wildly itchy and I just chalked it up to being weird and old. I slept terribly Sunday night into Monday because my arms, knees, legs, and feet itched all night long. I even had a dream […]

“Sticker” Situation: A Tour of My Surface Tablet

April 20, 2026 by Kimberly Leave a Comment

the back of kim's microsoft surface tablet, there are 10 decals on it, she describes them below

One of the great things about current culture is the popularity of stickers. I grew up collecting them, but they mostly stayed in sticker books or on notebooks. I love that today people are unafraid to use their stickers! You can find stickers on just about anything portable: phones, laptops, tablets, water bottles, Kindles, scooters, […]

Hello!

About Me

I've been blogging for over twenty (2 decades! 2-0!) years and I'm apparently one of the few over-50 female bloggers who haven't sold out to THE MAN yet; hence this blog remains quirky, homespun, and unprofitable. No big. However, if you're from Disney, Doritos, or Dave Matthews Band, I'm open to talk about selling out.

I live in Southern New Jersey with my husband WM, and our dog Murphy. I'm an adult who likes Disney but not a Disney Adult. I used to work a fun (really!) office job in Philadelphia, but since March of 2020 I'm a work from home hermit. So if you're looking for a childless, slightly round, marginally boring GenX woman's blog to follow, you've come to the right place! :)
